services
The welfare, dignity and health of animals are our top priority. In our veterinary practice with inpatient pet care and hospitalization, we take care of surgical and internal medicine patients and provide your small animals with the best possible medical care.
internal medicine
The path to diagnosis involves a differentiated examination of sick patients. Step by step, listening, measuring temperature and blood pressure, assessing breathing and pulse help to get closer to the causes of the health problems. These examinations are supplemented by blood, urine and stool laboratory tests, ultrasound and X-ray examinations. The spacious ward and separate segregation room allow even critical patients to be cared for around the clock.
laboratory
The in-house analysis laboratory allows blood, faeces and urine tests to be carried out promptly and directly on site. Complex or special analyses are transported daily by a courier service to a large external laboratory (genetic tests) or processed in collaboration with specialists, certified reference laboratories and university institutes.
surgery
Wound treatment, bite wounds, lacerations and abscesses as well as all gynecological operations relating to fertility or childbirth are offered on a daily basis. We also remove swallowed foreign bodies, bladder stones or solitary tumors in the abdomen. Serious joint, thoracic or back injuries are referred to external surgeons of your or our choice after consultation and according to your wishes.
dental x-ray / radiography
In addition to conventional digital X-rays, dental X-rays enable precise tooth and jaw diagnostics. In addition to superficial and visible problems of the teeth in the area of the crowns, tooth fractures or root problems (FORL) are also detected and problems deep in the jawbone such as tumors, misaligned teeth or teeth that cannot be visualized on the surface become visible.
gynecology / puppies
Fertility, obstetrics and the breeding of dogs and cats are of particular concern to us. We have our own breeding experience with our purebred SKG dogs (Swiss Kennel Club/FCI) and offer gynecological examinations and operations in-house.

We pay the greatest attention to our cat and dog puppies. In the awareness of an optimal nursery and a stress-free imprinting phase, we help to raise animals that meet our social requirements.
We are also happy to advise you if you wish to buy dogs from abroad or on the Internet. This is in line with the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (FSVO) "Eyes open when buying dogs" and the Society of Swiss Veterinarians. (GST)
We are happy to support you with the placement of
- puppy playgroups
- young dog courses
- family dog courses
- up to the recognized national and international tests
castration
A differentiated view of castration
learn more
- Hormones are important and necessary for healthy bone and muscle development in young dogs
- Neutering too early can have a negative impact on important growth processes
- Neutering does not solve problems of human misbehaviour and does not solve problems with neighbours
- Neutering does not make training easier. Dog training must begin in the imprinting phase, i.e. before sexual maturity, and - introduced on a daily basis - must continue throughout the dog's life.
Neutering helps
- Prevent offspring
- Reduce the risk of mammary tumors (breast cancer risk) (if operated on early)
- Against vaginal or foreskin discharge
- For uterine, testicular or prostate diseases
- To make highly hormonal or sexually distracted animals more balanced
At what age is neutering possible?
- Males: from 6 months (we recommend castration after 12 months)
- Bitches: from 6 months (we recommend after the first heat to give the bitches time to consolidate their body and character)
- Tomcat : from 5 months
- Female cat : from 5 months
The timing of neutering depends on the dog's character, build, use, coat and breed. We will be happy to advise you individually.
Alternatives to castration: implants / injections / tablets
feeding advice
Our employees are trained and further educated in nutritional physiology. The latest findings on protein sources, allergens and allergy potentials of additives, flavour enhancers - including natural ones - and treats are continuously incorporated into the consultations within the clinic consultation hours. Benefit from our many years of experience, including with our own dogs and cats, and let us advise you individually if you have any questions or problems.
Vet-Spitex Homecare
During clinic opening hours, we offer our clients who are unable to bring their pet to the veterinary practice themselves a pick-up and delivery service.
However, treatments are carried out exclusively at the small animal clinic (no night and weekend pick-up service).
